I’m a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and school psychologist with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals in finding creative solutions to approach anxiety, depression and life transitions, as well as relationship and family dynamics.

I believe it takes a village to prosper and therapy can help you build that supportive community in your life. We all have unique strengths and our quirks and distinctive personalities should be honored.

My goal is to help you recognize and hone in on your strengths and abilities while crowding out some of the less helpful thought patterns or behaviors that get in the way of your best functioning.

I often use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidence-based practice that is very helpful with anxiety and depression.  CBT helps people learn to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that negatively influence behavior and emotions. When we reframe unhelpful thoughts and behavioral responses and can be more flexible in our perceptions and approaches, we open the door for positive growth and changes in the way we feel. We can’t change our past or other people, but we can control the way we respond to stressors in our lives.

I feel that the pursuit of mental health is a holistic process and I am honored to have the job of empowering and supporting individuals through life challenges. Helping “stuck” individuals access and unlock their creativity is a particular niche, and I enjoy seeing my clients grow in confidence and try new things.

I will provide a safe environment to facilitate positive growth in your life. My approach is warm, non-judgmental and flexible as we work together to establish individualized goals and solutions specific to your needs.  Please click on “Services” to learn more. I invite you to contact me to tell me more about yourself and learn more about my therapy practice.

    How does teletherapy work?

Do you need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment? Are you a busy stay-at-home or working parent, and don’t have the time to drive across town for an appointment?

Do you live in a more rural area, or maybe you prefer to just do things virtually?

Teletherapy allows us to engage in counseling and therapy via HIPPA compliant live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone.

Teletherapy allows you to schedule an appointment directly online and have the entire therapy session take place digitally.  To learn more and get started with virtual therapy, please contact me today.
